My primary motivation in life remains my love for God and people. I desire to see people discover and grow, flourishing in their gifting and passions with purpose. It is my intent to continually and effectively invest in and help equip students to fulfill their life purposes.
A GLANCE INTO MY EARLY HISTORY...
I was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. When I was two years old, my father felt impressed to move our family to Chicago, IL to join the faculty of the then, newly established Chicago Bible College. It has since been renamed, Christian Life College. I grew up attending Chicago's public schools including Lane Technical High School, a college preparatory high school. Because of its college prep structure, it functioned with four major programs. These were Science/Math, Pre-Engineering, Art and Music. I enrolled in the music major program. These music courses were
equivalent in content to sophomore college level music courses. Taking these classes enabled me to say, 'Yes' to our church music director when she asked me to assist her. I began directing choirs when I was sixteen years old. These early opportunities were the beginning of many more to come.

MY INTERESTS FAMILY: I am blessed with two incredible children that are fraternal twins. They are already young adults! My daughter is married to an amazing young man. My son is a gifted vocalists and writer. My parents have been examples of impeccable character and integrity. I love and respect them so! I also have two brothers of strength and honor - one of which is married to my fun, adorable sister-in-law. I thank them for giving me five nieces and nephews who, now with their families have four children of their own! |
WORSHIP/ARTS DIRECTOR In my years of experience, I have been honored to direct over 60 musicals collectively in three states. My introduction to handling the music portion of a musical was way back in 1980 when I was just a kid! (relatively speaking) I have enjoyed every aspect of production - from the early planning stages, to auditions, to directing the choir/soloist, creating the set design, gathering volunteers to build and even paint the set. Many years ago, an incredible drama coach and I linked arms in production. A number of years ago, her daughter took the drama helm and the journey is continuously joyous! Our talented creative team keeps growing. Worship music is an expression of a heart of gratitude and love for God. He gave first - we authentically give in return. The worship times of our services are moving and life changing. Leading congregations in worship through music fulfills a deep purpose in my life. Our teams are comprised of musicians who are not only gifted, but are also unified in their desire to express their love and serve God and His people. I feel honored to join together with these team members. |
